Middlesbrough boss Chris Wilder is happy common sense prevailed after Chelsea's attempts to have fans banned from Sunday's FA Cup tie.
Chelsea made the appeal, then quickly withdrew it, after being barred from selling away tickets themselves for the game.
Wilder said, “I think like 99.99% of people who love the game [I thought] 'what is going on?'
"A bit of head scratching at the time. It was a decision that was met universally with displeasure. I don't' know another word to use, it was baffling.
"There was a quick turnaround in terms of what they wanted to happen, maybe checking themselves a little bit, getting a grip of themselves and saying 'well really this shouldn't happen' and coming to sensible conclusion."
He continued: “We thought the Man Utd game was tough, then we pulled Spurs out, then we pulled out Chelsea out.
“We are at home, we have a puncher's chance. We are up against it, everybody understands that.
"We are saying the same old clichés that any club would say in our position: 'It's a free hit, we've got nothing to lose'. But we want to give it a good go. It wouldn't be the biggest upset in cup history, but we are certainly up against it."
