Burnley boss Sean Dyche was left disappointed with their performance in defeat at home to Leicester City.
Second-half goals from James Maddison and Jamie Vardy earned the Foxes victory, which ended the Clarets' three-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Dyche admitted: “We weren't as good as we have been, particularly in the first-half, we just let soft things go against us, we didn't get the ball forward quick enough, in the second-half we started to get a grip of the game.
“We put a lot into these performances, we were chasing the game, but we've had chances, Maxwel has a great chance against the keeper and Wout from a set-piece, but we didn't ask enough questions of Leicester.
“We overall weren't at it, we expect a lot out of the players, but I don't want to be too critical as we've had a really strong run with some good results, so we've got to remember that.
“Popey made a couple of great saves, one to his left in the first-half and in the second-half, one he'd expect to make towards the centre of his goal, but defensively we just weren't where we have been with the feel of it, we didn't have that dominant feel, we passed the ball too short, we played backwards too many times.
“We know that there's times where players haven't been on top of their performance during the season, where we have been lately, but we've had performances where a quiet player has had a good performance, but we were way off.
“We looked a threat from set-pieces but other than that we didn't ask enough questions of their defensive unit or attack with the vigour that we know we can.
“We weren't quite where we have been in the previous seven games."
Dyche also said: “We've had a lot of games, we've been on a long run, and it's been demanding, there's been a lot of travel as well, but there wasn't a lack of physical output tonight, it was just the details.
“It's been very tough, we've been working really hard, mixing things up and making sure that we can be as competitive as we can.
“We've got ourselves back in and round where we need to be, we're always a work in progress and we have to work hard for everything that we've got."
