The Guardian says Shaw is willing to agree a new deal.
The left-back is 'happy' at Old Trafford and enjoys playing for the Red Devils.
His current £150,000-a-week deal is set to expire in 2023, although United possess an option to trigger a 12 month extension.
A renewal will likely see Shaw receive a pay rise.
The 26-year-old has represented United since 2014, when they made him the world's most expensive teenager by shelling out £30million to purchase him from Southampton.
He has since racked up 212 appearances for the Red Devils.
