Lim Kit Siang positive for Covid-19 after DAP national congress

KUALA LUMPUR – DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang, 82, has been tested positive for Covid-19, a day after he attended the party’s national congress.

“I can confirm that Iskandar Puteri MP Lim Kit Siang has tested positive for Covid-19,” said Syahredzan Johan, Lim’s political secretary.

“Earlier today in Parliament, he did a Covid-19 RTK-Ag test, and since it showed a positive result, a Covid-19 RT-PCR test was conducted.

“The RT-PCR test later confirmed that he is Covid-19 positive. He has been vaccinated and also taken his booster shots, and thus far he only has light symptoms such as coughing.

“He is currently under quarantine according to the usual quarantine protocols.”
