Liverpool star Sadio Mane has admitted that he wants to win the Ballon d'Or one day.

The Senegalese attacker has been in good form with club and country this term, winning the African Cup of Nations.

The Reds are still in contention to win more trophies this term, in addition to their Carabao Cup success.

In an interview with L'Equipe, Mane outlined his Ballon d'Or desire and other goals.

"I have so much hunger that I remain on the lookout for what is good and beautiful to devour. And the Ballon d'Or is necessarily part of it," said Mane.

"But I don't want to talk too much about it now. The World Cup is my new dream.

"But before that, we will have to qualify, but I want to believe in somewhat crazy projects and the one that consists of winning the World Cup with Senegal is one of them.

"If we succeed, of course, I will get closer to all the players who apply for the Ballon d'Or every year.

"If I win the World Cup, I think it will become a goal, yes."
