Everton striker Salomon Rondon says he's pleased with his current form.

Rondon is happy with his goalscoring for club and country.

The Venezuela striker told Marca: "Yes, in the national team I scored three goals. Here, in the FA Cup, I was a starter and I did a double that could have been three too.

"I complied and I am happy and calm for what I have been working on. I have done things well and what has been asked of me to take advantage of the opportunities and be able to compete."

On the dismissal of Rafa Benitez, Rondon also said: "There are many things to analyse. I will always be grateful to Rafa for his confidence and for bringing me here, taking me to Dalian and Newcastle. I identify a lot with him. What happened I don't know. Things did not turn out the way we wanted.

"This is football and a lot depends on the results. Unfortunately they were not getting and they made that decision."
