Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof admits his family's home invasion earlier this experience was a difficult experience.

When away with United, Lindelof's family were the victims of a home burglary.

"Of course it was a hard thing that one does not want to happen, especially when I was out playing a game and could not be near my family. But I got free and missed a couple of matches because of it," he said.

"It was important to be with the family and try to support them in the best possible way."

However, the burglary was not a one-off incident, as several players have suffered similar experiences.

"It's something that's been going on for a while, and it should not happen. I do not know what to do about it, but it's not good. It's not something you want anyone to be exposed to. It's awful."
