Atalanta defender Merih Demiral was delighted for matchwinner Moustapha Cisse after victory over Bologna.
Cisse only signed for the Atalanta academy on February 22, having previously played in the eighth tier of Italian football for a team made up entirely of refugees seeking asylum.
"It was important to win tonight, I am very happy for Atalanta and for Cisse, because he already settled in really well during training," Demiral told DAZN.
“He deserved this goal and from the next game he will do even better."
Atalanta now sit fifth on the table.
“We are working so hard in training and improving, we're starting to see the fruits of our labour," he added.
