KENINGAU: Two workers’ houses behind a factory in Kampung Patikang, here, were destroyed in a fire on Tuesday.
The District Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 8.15am and a team of 13 firefighters led by Operations Officer Leong Hoi Min rushed to the scene some 8km away with machinery.
According to Leong, the houses were already 100 per cent destroyed when they arrived.
He said the fire extinguishing operation was carried out using two streams of 300-foot three fountains using water source from the machinery and open water. The operation ended at 10.36am. No casualties were reported and the cause of the fire and loss are still under investigation.
