Barcelona president Joan Laporta says they'll have a busy summer market.
Laporta admits the board recognises the need to lift the quality of coach Xavi's squad.
He told TV3: "We are strengthening the team for next season. Mateu Alemany, Jordi Cruyff and all the technical secretariat are working to achieve this and there are additions that I understand people are excited about but are very difficult because they are operations that we should not do even try unless we had the better economic situation.
"We have to apply criteria and a certain rationality to the world of football. We are here to manage a football club well, which is Barça, and although we have improved, the economic situation has not been reversed.
"That's the priority, along with building an increasingly powerful team. We will be involved in everything, but we will not carry out any operation that endangers the situation."
