Ajax GM Edwin van der Sar has made contact with Jordi about a return to Amsterdam this summer.
Ajax need to find a replacement for Marc Overmars, after the sporting director resigned last month.
De Telegraaf says Van der Sar has made a proposal to Jordi, with the Barca chief now mulling over the offer.
For the moment, Jordi is yet to respond to the contract tabled.
