Kota Kinabalu: The State Cabinet has agreed in principle to limit the tenure of Chief Minister to two terms, the State Legislative Assembly sitting was told Tuesday.
Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Abidin Madingkir said the proposal would be brought to the State Assembly sitting for the purpose of amending the State Constitution if all assemblymen agree to amend the State Constitution on the matter.
“The proposal is good. If we look at the Federal level, there is already a proposal to limit the tenure of the Prime Minister.
