RANAU: Kadazan, Dusun and Murut beauties aged 18-25 from the district, are invited to participate in the Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan competition at the district level 2022 celebration.
Ranau district level competition chairwoman, Florencia Padasian said all participants must also be at least five feet (152 cm) tall and never win first place in any district level Unduk Ngadau competition and must be non-Muslims.
“All participants must also complete two doses of Covid-19 vaccination.
“Participants who wish to participate in the competition are required to complete the entry form by April 30,” said Florencia.
Florencia, who is also Ranau Assistant District Officer (Administration), said the competition is to select the representative from Ranau to the Sabah-level Unduk Ngadau competition in Hongkod Koisaan at the end of May.
According to her, the Kaamatan festival which themed “Kaamatan Menjiwai Alam Semulajadi ‘starts at 7.30 am at the Ranau Community Hall on May 14, will be officiated by the Sabah Minister of Local Government and Housing and Karanaan Assemblyman, Datuk Masidi Manjun.
