Everton have reached the FA Cup quarter-finals after a hard-fought win against non-league side Boreham Wood.

The Toffees were left immensely frustrated at half-time as Boreham Wood set up an almighty low block to repel any and all attacks.

But the Hertfordshire club's stoic effort eventually came to an end when Salomon Rondon broke the deadlock after 57 minutes.

The Venezuelan striker was set up by Seamus Coleman before steering the ball into the net.

Rondon then headed in with six minutes remaining to seal Everton's passage.

Frank Lampard's side will face Crystal Palace in the quarter-finals.
