Chicago Fire goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina is a target for Chelsea.
Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is reporting the 17 year-old is being lined up for a summer move to the Blues.
The London club wanted to buy the goalkeeper and loan him back until 2023, but the transfer is in jeopardy due to sanctions to owner Roman Abramovich.
This season, Slonina has played four matches for Chicago Fire in MLS, in which he conceded one goal and kept a clean sheet three times.
Chelsea remain confident of signing the youngster.
