Kota Kinabalu: Sabah FC head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee admitted that his players did not live up to his expectations despite beating club side Respect FC 2-0 in the FA Cup opening round at Likas Stadium on Saturday night.
The team were made to sweat as they were unable to make a breakthrough until the second half when Umareng Bacok broke the deadlock with a header from a pinpoint cross by Amry Yahyah in the 50th minute and the second goal only came in the 84th minute through Nazirul Naim Che Hashim who slotted in from close range following a defence splitting pass by Park Taesu.
