PENAMPANG: Several Penampang Parti Warisan leaders led by Wanita Chief Mary June G Kinsuat quit the party to join the Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM).
Mary, who is also the former Deputy Head of the Wanita Warisan Pusat, together with numerous leaders of P174 Penampang Warisan Division, announced their decision here, recently.
Also departing the party was Penampang Wira Head cum former Wira Pusat Deputy Head, Ian Mahindra, and Penampang Warisan Wanita Deputy Head, Beatnie Boniface.
Mary claimed other former division and branch committee members, as well as former Wanita Committee members and former Penampang Warisan Wira Committee members have also opted to leave the party.
“We chose to join Party KDM under the leadership of Datuk Peter Anthony to jointly pursue a political agenda that focuses completely on Sabah,” said Mary.
The announcement event was witnessed by Parti KDM Deputy President Datuk Juil Nuatim who is also Limbahau Assemblyman.
