Cristiano Ronaldo insists Portugal will not be resting on their laurels at the World Cup 2022.
The Manchester United star will compete in his fifth World Cup in Qatar after Portugal beat North Macedonia in a play-off on Tuesday.
And Ronaldo hopes he can finally lift the Jules Rimet Trophy later this year.
The 37-year-old wrote on Instagram: "There are many ways to reach the desired destination, sometimes the path may not be as direct as what we wanted, but the most important thing is to get there!
"On a personal note, I'm going to my fifth World Cup and my 12th finals of a great international competition for Portugal, with the same enthusiasm as the first day but with a much stronger ambition, an ambition to meet the desire of us all: desire to win!
"For now, we can smile with the feeling of accomplishment, of another stage resolved. But we don't want to stop here. We want more! We want so much more! For us, for our fans, for Portugal… Towards Qatar!"
