Talk of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich bidding for Valencia has been played down by his representatives.
Former Valencia vice president Miguel Zorio made the claim over the weekend, stating he was competing with the Russian billionaire for control of the club from ower Peter Lim.
It's been suggested Lim would be prepared to sell for €250m.
However, a spokesman for Abramovich has insisted he is not in the frame, telling RBC: “The information is not true."
Abramovich saw Chelsea seized by the UK government last month after they imposed sanctions following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
