Newcastle boss Eddie Howe insists it isn't only the squad that needs investment this summer.
Howe says that Newcastle must go away and build this summer and suggested the hard work was only just beginning.
He said: "I think it's key (to build) and it's your ability to make good decisions and get the big calls right. From our side we have to build the club first, in conjunction with the team.
"I don't think it's a case of building the team and not the infrastructure. We have a lot of work to do.
"I have been very clear with that right from the start of this journey together. The club needs investment in certain areas and only that will help the team."
