Olympique Marseille midfielder Dimitri Payet insists he turned down Manchester United in the past.
Payet is now captain of OM and has recalled resisting an approach from United.
"I'm not someone who lives with remorse. I made a choice, which was as much related to football as it was to the family, to come back to Marseille," the 35-year-old told RMC Sport."
There were other clubs, big clubs - Manchester United and others.
"It was a personal and family choice. I think that was the best thing for me and my family."
