Aston Villa wing-back Matt Targett admits he hopes to stay with Newcastle.
Targett is on-loan at Newcastle, which have the option to sign him permanently this summer.
"I hope the clubs can come up with something," he said.
"The moment to make a decision is getting closer. I really like playing for Newcastle, I like the fans of the team."
Targett signed for Newcastle in January and has made ten appearances.
