
SANDAKAN: An employer was fined RM2,000 or two months’ jail for failing to register his company to the Social Security Organisation (Socso) within 30 days from the date as stated in the Employee Social Security Act.
Magistrate Herlina Muse ordered Andi Juhana Andi Appa, 40, to pay the fine after he pleaded guilty to the offence at 12.40pm on Apr 1, 2019 at a café in Sejati Walk, here.
Andi committed the offence when the Socso officer had inspected the café.
The offence is under Section 94(g) of the Employee Social Security Act and punishable under Section 94 of the same Act.
