TAWAU: The Immigration Department hopes the Philippine Government will grant flexibility to Filipino detainees eager to go home without mandatory RTK-PCR testing since Malaysia is currently in the endemic phase.
Sabah Immigration Director Sh Sitti Saleha Habib Yussof said RTK-PCR testing should no longer be a concern because the detainees have been vaccinated and the majority have had booster doses and confined in controlled environments with no exterior contact for more than a year.
