Watford boss Roy Hodgson thanked the home support after defeat to Brentford.
Emmanuel Dennis' equaliser lifted the supporters inside Vicarage Road, with the Watford faithful in full backing of the team until the end of the game.
Hodgson praised the noise inside the stadium, particularly in the second half, but wished the Hornets had claimed the points to show for an improved performance.
“I thought the crowd were very good today," Hodgson said after the 2-1 loss. “We didn't give them anything to excite them in the first half but we did in the second half.
"I think they saw the effort, commitment, work-rate and desire to score was there, so when we did it and continued to push on I thought the fans were 100 per cent behind us.
“It's the way you lose it, after coming so close to winning it, in the last action of the game, that's hard to take."
