Southampton matchwinner Jan Bednarek hailed Fraser Forster for victory over Arsenal.
Man-of-the-match Forster proved unbeatable in the Saints goal, with Bednarek singling out his first-half save from Bukayo Saka as a key moment in the game.
The Polish defender scored the only goal just before the interval, but took just as much satisfaction from the clean sheet as Saints picked up a first win in seven matches.
“Obviously it could go either way but thankfully we had Fraser in the goal, who made a fantastic performance and we kept a clean sheet, so that's good," Bednarek said.
“I think Fraser made a good game against Chelsea – the problem was they had so many chances that he couldn't keep a clean sheet and he conceded six goals.
“Thankfully today we kept a clean sheet, but he was outstanding with the saves he made.
“When it was 0-0, there was a 100 per cent clear chance and he saved it – unreal. He kept us alive and thankfully we got three points.
