First Instance Body gives Perak FC new lease on life with extension

KUALA LUMPUR – Perak FC gets a lifeline after the First Instance Body (FIB) decided to approve the club’s application for an extension to conclude change of ownership negotiations.

In a statement, FIB chairman Sheikh Mohd Nasir said after reviewing the Premier League club’s application, which was received on April 18, the FIB committee has given the club’s management until April 29 to complete the ongoing negotiation process with their new owners.

“The FIB committee has decided to give Perak FC an extension in the hope that the completion of the negotiation process with the new owners will shine new light on the welfare of the players and officials,” he said.

“However, if Perak FC still fails to resolve the matter on the date set, the FIB committee will take further action and bring the matter to the Malaysian Football League board of directors,” he added.

In an effort to help the struggling club, Perak FC fans have offered financial support by gathering donations.
