Kota Kinabalu: The 3rd International Conference on Politics and International Studies (ICPIS) is expected to attract 100 academicians and thinkers related to politics and international relations at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).

Organising Chairman Dr Azizan Had said the annual conference organised by the Knowledge and Language Promotion Centre (PPIB) was scheduled to be held on Sept 29 through online presentation.

“This conference will discuss various political issues and current Malaysian issues related to international relations,” said Azizan.

Azizan, who is also a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy and Current Issues at the UMS Sandakan Campus, stressed that the conference also aims to highlight the role of PPIB and UMS as reference institutions at the national and international levels.

According to Azizan, the conference in English and Malay took the theme of ‘Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity in Politics and International Studies’.

He said the conference is expected to be able to attract participation from lecturers and students of higher learning institutions from Malaysia and outside the country.

According to Azizan, the results of the study presented will be published in the form of e-proceedings and printed materials.
