Atletico Madrid wing-back Daniel Wass admits he wants to close his career at home in Denmark.
Wass has hopes of eventually re-signing for Brondby and admits he did consider a return this season before leaving Valencia for Atletico.
He told TV3: "I had not really set myself up for anything. I knew I had half a year left and I knew I was not going to extend with Valencia, so I kind of just wanted to see what came.
"Of course I had the idea that it should be Brøndby this summer, so I could come home and finish. But when this came, I think everyone could see that it was something I really wanted, and the family could also see that it was not something I could say no to.
"I hope I come back, but if it turns out to be something, then there are many things that need to go together for it to happen. But yes, I do not think it's a secret that I would like to finish in Brøndby."
