Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes praised Harry Maguire's performance for their 1-1 draw with Leicester City.
Maguire started the match after being booed by England fans last week.
Fernandes said, “It's tough that your own country boos you in a game for the national team. It's maybe a little bit because of the media. It wasn't because of his performance – he played really well in that game. Sometimes the media should think a little bit more when they do some things."
On his new contract, Fernandes added: “I spoke with the club.
"Obviously with the conversations we had I saw that the future can be better than now, has to be better than now. The club will be back to the glory days, that's why I committed to the club."
