Liverpool have jumped into the battle for AS Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
The young France international is expected to leave ASM this summer, with Real Madrid regarded as favourites for his signature.
However, Foot Mercato says Liverpool have now expressed interest in Tchouameni.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is a fan of the youngster and sees him as an ideal addition with veteran pair James Milner and Jordan Henderson to eventually be replaced.
Talks have already taken place between the English giants and the player's entourage. For their part, ASM won't consider losing Tchouameni for anything less than €50m.
