Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor witnessing the handing over of RM40,000 mock cheque from Sabah Islamic Religious Council (Muis) Tithe and Fitrah Division to Akademi QurANIS Al-Mubarak represented by City Mosque Committee Chairman Datuk Ab. Jamal Tun Dr Sakaran while Special Tasks Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif and others look on at the City Mosque in Kota Kinabalu, recently.

Hajiji also presented duit raya to a total of 119 special children (OKU) and 46 underprivileged (Asnaf) recipients and the students of the Akademi QurANIS Al-Mubarak in the program that was organised by Kota Kinabalu City Mosque.

All the recipients were also treated to breaking of fast with an aim to enhance public awareness to have empathy for the special children (OKU) and Asnaf group apart from taking the opportunity to make donations during the Holy Ramadan month.

Also present were Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Yakub Khan, Sabah’s Mufti Datuk Ustaz Haji Bungsu @ Aziz Jaafar, Sabah Islamic Religous Department (Jheains) director Datuk Ustaz Saifulzaman Bin Sangul, and MUIS Secretary Ramlan Awang Ali.
