Lazio and Chelsea are in talks over a swap deal this summer.

The Sun says the Italians have reportedly opened talks with Chelsea as ex-Blues' boss Maurizio Sarri wants to reunite with midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Lazio are resigned to losing £60million-rated Serbia superstar Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as Euro giants like Manchester United, PSG and Juventus hover.

And Loftus-Cheek's recent revival at Stamford Bridge has heightened Sarri's interest.

Lazio are thought to be eyeing a season's loan for the 26-year-old with an option to buy in 2023.

But that could change if Sarri can sort out a summer clear-out at his seventh-placed Serie A club.

Jose Mourinho's Roma, Everton and West Ham are also being linked with the ten-cap England ace.
