Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has praised Harry Maguire for his 'almost flawless' performance against Leicester City.
The 29-year-old was booed by England supporters during the international break, but United fans were right behind him at Old Trafford.
Asked about Maguire's performance and subsequent reaction, Rangnick told MUTV: "Both as expected.
"The reaction of our supporters was as it always is. Our supporters are one of the best, if not the best, in England.
"Harry played well and he had an almost flawless game today defensively. It was a solid performance by him."
Rangnick also revealed he took note of Maguire's performances with England after moving the imposing defender to the right-side of central defence.
"Since I arrived, we have been discussing this because he prefers to play on the left side although he is right footed," Rangnick added.
"And now I saw him play for England last week, when he played in a back four on the right side, that's why I decided that he should play on the right side which is better for him anyway when we open up the game from our backline for him as a right-footed player.
"I think it's a lot easier for him to play from there."
