Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl insists Armando Broja's ineligibility to play against Chelsea is a blessing for his other attackers.

The 20-year-old Albanian will not be involved at the weekend as the Saints take on Chelsea on Saturday in the Premier League.

Broja is on loan at Southampton from Chelsea, which is why he cannot play against his parent club.

"The last game we played against them he also didn't play and we did it quite well, so yeah," Hasenhuttl told reporters, per Daily Echo.

"I would like to have him because he is a threat and could definitely help us, but I think this rule is a very good rule, that he is not allowed to play.

"It is different in Germany and you have sometimes a situation where a player scores against his club and then cannot celebrate or whatever."
