According to the Daily Mail, Eddie Howe's team will play games in the States, with Minnesota seen as one possible destination.
The club see the U.S. as a great place to prepare, while they are also hoping to reap the commercial rewards of playing games in the country this summer.
Manager Howe also hopes that trips abroad can help unite the players and create a sense of camaraderie in the squad, especially if they make significant moves in the transfer market to refresh the team.
Newcastle last went to the United States in 2015, playing in Sacramento and Portland.
