Kota Kinabalu: Chun How Yin of the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Accounting received the Chancellor’s Gold Medal Award at the 22nd Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Convocation Ceremony.

The award was given to the 25-year-old after he received a 3.92 cumulative grade point average in his Bachelor of Business with Honours degree (Financial Management and Banking).

According to him, the key to his success is to think positively in all situations.

“We should never look at a problem from a negative perspective since it would aggravate the situation.

“Our lives will be calmer and our hearts will feel free when we think positively. As a result, it will be easier for us to learn in a more favourable and open environment,” he said at the Dewan Canselor here, Tuesday.

“Before this, I worked part-time as an accountant at a bank,” said Chow, who is now employed as a Sales Account Manager at a Penang-based firm.

“My first objective is to repay the favour by providing comfort to both parents. Family is vital to me and has always been the backbone of my life “he said For the record, the 22nd UMS Convocation Ceremony lasted for six days until March 31, 2022 involving 4,728 graduates who graduated in 2020.
