CHIEF Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor hopes professionals, including young entrepreneurs, can help the GRS-BN State Government accomplish the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) development plan.
“Young people need to be directly involved in realising the Hala Tuju SMJ because it is for the people and the state,” he said, while welcoming the support and involvement of the professionals and young entrepreneurs in helping the Government’s efforts to develop Sabah.
Hajiji, who is also State Finance Minister, said this during a courtesy call from the Malaysian Chinese Chamber of Commerce’s Young Entrepreneurs Committee (MCCC-YEC) Sabah branch delegation at his official residence in Sri Gaya, Kota Kinabalu, March 31.
The delegation was led by new MCCC-YEC Sabah Chairman James Wong Kein Peng. Also present were Deputy Chairman Shawn Tan, Vice Chairmen Wong Oi Yee and Lim Eng Ming, Treasurer, Terrance Sak Yaw San, Secretary-General, Yee Tsai Yiew and committee members.
Wong and his committee expressed support to Hajiji and the State Government for the effort and commitment to accomplish the Hala Tuju SMJ and develop the state.
Wong was elected to helm the MCCC-YES Sabah Branch in the recent election, succeeding Datuk Dexter Lau who was appointed as its Mentor/Advisor. Wong is the son of Ar. Francis Wong, who has a long history of public service with Kota Kinabalu Municipal Council (MPKK) and Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK) throughout his career.
