TMJ is curious about who Siti Bainun is and how she managed to have 10 lawyers defend her against the abuse case of a disabled teenager, Bella.
According to TMJ, even he, the crown prince of Johor, never uses the service of 10 lawyers at once.
I don’t even have 10 lawyers. Whatever it is, this is just the beginning. Bella is a real hero, and I will help Bella as best I can. I will ensure that every child in the country is protected. The Malaysian government must amend the law to protect children, “said TMJ.
TMJ then proceeds to raise the most important question, the question that all Malaysians might be thinking of at some point when they read about the abuse case of Bella.
“Regarding Bella’s case, where are all the politicians who are so-called pro-human rights? They are just staying silent. Do they have anything to do with Rumah Bonda? Are some of these houses used by certain parties for money laundering and human trafficking? Both sides are silent, “said TMJ.
Last year, Bella’s abuse case went viral on social media after a woman claimed that the youngster was scalded with hot water and endured several tortures while in the care of Rumah Bonda, a welfare home.
Siti Bainun Ahd Razali, the founder of Rumah Bonda, was charged with two charges of neglecting and abusing a 13-year-old girl with Down Syndrome, resulting in bodily and emotional trauma to the victim at a condominium in Wangsa Maju. According to witnesses, Bella was tortured daily for four months.
If found guilty, the charge under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison or a fine of RM50,000 or both. However, both charges were dismissed after the woman entered a not guilty plea.
