Barcelona chief Mateu Alemany has played down reports of an agreement with Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

Bayern Munich have reiterated their stance that Lewandowski will not be sold in the summer transfer window, despite the fact the former Borussia Dortmund star has thus far refused to agree on a contract extension.

"We don't have any agreement with the forward, that is speculation from the press that is very good for filling pages," Alemany explained in an interview before kick-off against Eintracht Frankfurt.

"It isn't true.

"If we wanted him, the first thing we would do would be to talk to his club."
