Watford boss Roy Hodgson feels they can stay up if they play as they did in defeat to Liverpool.
Next up for the Hornets is Leeds.
“We've now got to keep this consistency in our performances, which we have found," said Hodgson. “It'll be the players' performances on the field that will make the difference one way or the other.
“You don't go to Liverpool or Manchester City and Chelsea all the time. Today's performance against Liverpool gives me heart and the encouragement that we can perhaps ask these teams a few questions.
“I think it is going to be very important for the players to not forget that they are capable of doing what they did today. They have to understand too that we are going to have to go out there and do this again.
“Sometimes after you have done something well but haven't got a result, you want the next game to be easier or not work so hard. We have to understand that what we did today and the way we played today, that is our only chance of survival."
