Burnley boss Sean Dyche had no complaints after defeat to Manchester City.

City were comfortable 2-0 winners on the day.

Dyche said, "You certainly don't want to give early goals away, we made sure that we wanted to keep it tight early in the game. That was the game plan to see where the game could open and if we could get a feel and a foothold into it, and we didn't.

“Five minutes in, they anticipate the play way better than us, one goes over our heads, we're ball watching, it gets brought down and it's a fine finish.

“Then the second goal, the prowess of some of their players, they play a quick one-two and arrive in the six-yard box, when our midfield didn't get back and cover the spaces, and that's what Man City can do to you.

“In the first-half they had three shots at goal I think and scored two, so that's the difference at the level we're playing. We've had enough chances this season to be in a better position, but we've still got ten games left and we're still in the fight.
