Kota Kinabalu: A 41-year-old man will know on May 20 whether he has a case to answer on a charge of killing another man three years ago.
Judicial Commissioner Amelati Panell, who sat as the High Court Judge, set the date for Donny @ Mohd Nazmie Musanna, after hearing oral submissions from both parties on Friday.
Donny is accused of murdering one Ampukir Aladau, 64, between 2am and 3am on March 26, 2019 at Tamu Tomburungus area in Kudat.
The offence, under Section 302 of the Penal Code, carries the death sentence on conviction.
The prosecution had called 13 witnesses in the hearing.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Azreen Yas Mohamad Ramli prosecuted while counsel Amli Nohin defended Donny.
