TAWAU: The Joint Task Force 2 (ATB 2) foiled an attempt by a syndicate to smuggle in 3,420 cartons of cigarettes estimated worth RM410,200 in two vans in Kg Sri Aman, at 9pm, last Thursday.
ATB 2 Commander Brigadier-General Abdul Karim Ahmad said the success was the result of quick action by the Rapid Reaction Force (RPF) in conducting “Ops Benteng Bersama” after detecting two suspicious vans in the village.
