Kuala Lumpur: Sabah’s cement shortage and pricing problems may soon be over when the State’s first clinker and cement plant in Lahad Datu is scheduled to begin operations later this year.

This was disclosed by a spokesman for Borneo Oil (BornOil) Bhd which signed a supplemental agreement to acquire a stake in Labuan-based MT 23 Resources Ltd (MT23) which owns the only integrated clinker and cement plant in Sabah.
