Recently, Palestine-born Chef Ammar has been in the spotlight for various reasons such as people saying that his food is too expensive, the queue is too long, etc.

However, another issue has popped up yesterday and it is accompanied by a TikTok video taken by netizen Mohd Arizan.

In the video taken on 13 April, Mohd Arizan was queuing up to buy Chef Ammar’s food when he heard the chef himself yelling.

According to the video, it seems that Chef Ammar was standing up for one of his staff who gave a pregnant woman priority in buying food.

Apparently, the person was very unhappy that the pregnant woman cut the queue and scolded Chef Ammar’s staff until she cried. In the video, we can hear the chef say,

“This is my family (the staff) and I have to protect them.”

A majority of the netizens were supportive of the chef’s actions.

“What is the problem with humans like this. Chef Ammar is right. If you cannot wait then just go.”

“I see Chef Ammar and I feel pity for him, he’s tired and people do that to him. No matter where you go, pregnant mothers are prioritised but of course, there are many people who are impatient.”

Some netizens asked Chef Ammar to move his stall to other locations as the local people don’t seem to appreciate them.

“Chef just close the stall. Open up in Melaka. People in Melaka don’t mind waiting, we are relaxed even when waiting for the traffic light.”
