There are strong rumours that the warlords are brainstorming about having early elections as quickly as after Hari Raya and before Malaysia’s anti-party hopping law becomes legislation without further ado. There is a dire necessity for elections because the frogs from different ponds seem to be on heat and ready to make an exodus to greener ponds just like the ‘Sheraton Move’ which pole-vaulted almost 40 frogs. All frogs need is a poker face, strong hind legs and a willingness to remain afloat but if they leapt instinctively in the wrong direction they could end up on the highway trampled to a pulp by a moving truck. The parliament is almost at equilibrium where the majority can easily be swung with just a few votes, therefore a surplus of frogs are in needed to make up the numbers to take control and rule the country like how it was for the past six glorious decades.
The Perdana Leopard
Masked in fresh warpaint was the Perdana leopard, the pioneer warlord with his face partially hidden behind an N95 mask, he is preparing to rock our nation once again in another battle, the GE15. He is undisputedly the Father of Industrialised Malaysia or Modern Malaysia which is something that we owe great respect. This architect put Malaysia on the map, his effort of filling the geographical void in between Thailand and Singapore to get global recognition that there was a peninsula which was a landmass of a beautiful and awakening country. His last battle cry echoed during the GE14 and he ruled the country for the second time while emerging victorious but it was short-lived. The battle was won and the war lost momentum because he could not be his usual totalitarian self. It was only a premature rise to power from which he had to abruptly exit when he was shown the backdoor of the Sheraton Hotel. With feline cunningness, he threw in the towel thinking that he ingeniously manoeuvred a masterstroke and a checkmate. Unfortunately, that devastating move only gave a golden opportunity to the previously ousted to wrest control of the country with a little help from royalties. Maimed by a series of blows on him and his son by the current Government, he has declared war on them. and now there is going to be war again during a time when the Nation is most vulnerable recovering from a devastating pandemic. Leopards are felines known for their hunting prowess, speed and cunningness.
What is a Perdana Leopard?
Perdana means prime and leopard is the magnificent animal, a term coined and concocted so as not to exacerbate a known situation by calling a spade a spade but instead calling it a shovel. The Perdana leopard is a person with the prime objective of controlling a people and country by means and influence almost without detection.
Reflecting on the past from 2018 GE 14
The nonagenarian sat beside his wife, handsomely dressed in a black and gold Kain Songket, waiting to be installed as the 7th Prime Minister, ceremonies he was no stranger to or even one of being Prime Minister. The recent elections mirrored an explosion of the bottled-up sentiments of a democratically suppressed Rakyat. Sixty years and six prime ministers later the perverse course of power that ruled Malaysia was forced to end. On polling day, an indelible ink-stained fingered Rakyat, pointed in the direction of the exit door, to send out a failed and corrupt Government, packing them off along with their reprehensible agendas voting for a clean change. The Rakyat displaying boldness and maturity, wilfully voted the 60-year coalition to sit out the term, inevitably offering the opposition a chance to show their mettle and prove their worth. During the 5-hour wait to officially regain absolute power and control of the land once again, the nonagenarian recollected the history and the reasons that made him come out of retirement. Everything that he began experiencing after he retired from 2003 up till that day was the reflection of his Karma…..To be continued.
