CSKA Sofia technical director Alan Pardew will take temporary charge on the pitch.

The former Crystal Palace and Newcastle manager will coach CSKA Sofia for the next two games.

Pardew takes charge after the resignation of coach Stoycho Mladenov over complaints of his powers being watered down.

The Englishman will be on the bench in the next two matches against Levski in the league and Slavia in the Bulgarian Cup.

After those two games, Pardew and the board will then assess which way to move forward.
