Kota Kinabalu: KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital in collaboration with the blood bank of Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) II organised a blood donation campaign, recently, at KPJ’s main lobby.

Among others, the campaign aimed to help replenish the blood bank as well as raise public awareness on the need for regular blood donation.

It was also part of KPJ Sabah’s corporate social programme to encourage the

community participation in ensuring a sufficient, safe and sustainable blood supply.

“Blood donation campaign is one of the various welfare activities carried out by KPJ Sabah in Kota Kinabalu to give back to the community under the slogan ‘Give the Gift of Life,” said KPJ Sabah General Manager Faizal Mohamed.

The campaign was made possible through the sponsorship of KPJ Sabah’s corporate partners namely Sazarice, F&N and McDonalds Malaysia which have provided all blood donors with a packet of rice, soybean drinks, and chicken burger with orange bowl respectively.

The KPJ Sabah management, doctors and staff also played their part to donate to the blood bank, besides regular donors from the Fire and Rescue Department, Rela and the police personnel who turned up to support.
