Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus insists their 5-1 win against Watford doesn't guarantee them the Premier League title.

The defending champions are continuing to keep their feet on the ground, as demonstrated by Jesus when speaking after his four-goal haul.

Asked if he 'considered City as the champions again', the Brazilian told beIN SPORTS: "Of course not.

"We are the champions of last year but not this year, yet. We have five finals to go but we now have to think about Real Madrid because it will be a tough game."

In a separate interview with City's official website, Jesus added his side cannot afford to be distracted by the results of Liverpool and must place full focus on themselves.

"We have to do our job, not look to them (Liverpool)," said the Brazil international, who will be in City's squad for their Champions League semi-final first leg with Real Madrid in midweek. "We know they have a lot of amazing players and can win all the games. We are in front and, of course, it's not easy but we have to do our job.

"Now is the most important part of the season with the final games, which decide the trophies. We lost one cup (FA Cup semi-final to Liverpool), so we have to play every game as a final."
